Turns out, Shia LaBeouf not only stands up to evil robots — but also to Walgreens security guards.
The 21-year-old actor was arrested at a Chicago Walgreens at 2:30 a.m. this morning after repeatedly refusing to leave the store. The security guard told him to leave because he was too drunk, but Shia refused. So the guard called the cops, who charged Shia with misdemeanor criminal trespassing
Police said Shia was “very courteous and polite” and posted bond before 7 a.m. He’s scheduled to appear in court on November 29.
So Shia drinks too much peach schnapps and ends up taking residence in Walgreens’ haircare aisle? Pretty boring war story, I must say. Time for you to step it up, Shia.
Next time consider taking the stage at Leather & Fetish strip club. Or — ooooohhhh! I know! — try walking through the McDonald’s drive-thru. They’ll refuse to serve you, but it’s fun to walk with the cars AND makes for a good story (and photo op) — and, in the end, you can ALWAYS find a nice driver to order a cripsy chicken sandwich meal for you.
Or so I’ve heard. *AHEM*

Being drunk really causes some major problems..

November 4th, 2007 at 3:03 pmCome on…they were just looking to arrest somebody famous, or they would have simply given him a ride back to his hotel, case closed.

minds want to know!
Oh, come on. . . if he wasn’t famous they would not have “simply given him a ride back to his hotel, case closed”, they would have done exactly the exactly the same thing they did to him.
November 5th, 2007 at 5:46 pmMishele…my Belle:
No, not necessarily…according to the cops he was cooperative…and it appears he was not drunk. That said, even if he was, often times cops will just ride a person home who happens to be drunk…if that is the case, but here, they put together a bogus trepassing charge…when they could have simply asked him to obey the security guards demands as soon as they, the cops, arrived on the scene.
Again…the cops said that Shia was cooperative…so why didn’t the cops explain the law to the actor, and then ask him to leave, or face arrest–case closed??? I’ll tell you why, because they wanted to arrest somebody famous…that’s why.
And let me remind you, there have been no “public intoxication” charges filed against LaBeouf by the police, so it seems that the cops didn’t share the guard’s viewpoint that Shia was drunk…or even high…which calls into question the guard’s story…as well as the standing trespassing charge. The latter charge, of course is immediately placed into question due to the guard, claiming that he asked Shia to leave the store solely thanks to his suspicion that he was drunk…or at least, appeared to be drunk. Well, if that guard was wrong about that charge, then he had no right to ask LaBeouf to leave the store in the first place.
