What I want to know is: How can I score an invite to a wedding like this?
I always get stuck fake-smiling at the kinds of receptions where the couple decides to use the first dance as an opportunity to show off their freshly-learned, awkwardly choreographed ballroom dance moves, compounded with no-shots-allowed-bars and the local all-dad band that covers songs such as Genesis’ “I Can’t Dance” or, better yet, “La Vida Loca.” (Definitely need tequila shots in order to dance to either of those songs.)
Thanks to Rashid for the heads up.

Are you all sure that Candy isn’t actually the bride in this video??? Something tells me that she can get wild like this. And the groom, he’s a super freak too. Ah, the legacy of Sir Mix Alot!!!
December 3rd, 2007 at 5:06 pmPS-Not that this is a dance, but I dedicate the video below to all of you super freaks out there…cause I’m crazy, and so are you:

December 3rd, 2007 at 5:10 pmSir Mix-a-Lot, Dirty Dancing and marital break dancing all in one day — this is more joy than I can handle!
Zip, you know me too well.
December 3rd, 2007 at 5:18 pmWell, that’s cute, but …. she hasn’t got a big butt….
I went to a wedding a couple years ago where they played a song from South Park, “Simultaneous” (which is basically a song about group sex) and danced to that. I found out later that they were an “open marriage” couple and the bridesmaid the groom was dancing with was one of their intimate friends. So that was pretty entertaining, anyway…
December 3rd, 2007 at 6:15 pmI bet those two met at a nightclub and danced to that song together before they even knew each other’s names. Still pretty creative though.
December 3rd, 2007 at 6:45 pmAnd to think some people take ballroom dancing lessons before their wedding!
December 3rd, 2007 at 6:46 pmMy wedding was just two weeks ago, and I wish I have had the gut to do this dance instead of the awkward, (NOT AT ALL) rehearsed wedding dance.
On the other hand - my grandmother could have gotten a heart attack!
December 4th, 2007 at 2:44 amThat was hilarious! It would have been even better if they added their own rendition
December 4th, 2007 at 5:26 amof MJ’s ‘Thriller’ at the end.
Hahaha!
This is great!! What a hoot. We had friends who danced their first dance to I Think I’m turning Japanese by the Vapors
