That will not cause that much weight gain. I am linking it to solids he may be on or a medical condition. Breast milk won't do that. He's not supposed to be able to stand by himself, and some babies never crawl anyway, since they hate facing the ground... While he's very fat, I don't see how it could be the mother's fault. Yemango is right : overfeeding a baby is next to impossible (ask worried parents of too thin babies). Many formulas are available in our countries to help controlling the weigth of very hungry babies, I suppose it's not available in China. And I pity the poor woman... I feel so sorry for what those kids will go through. I know it's hard to ignore childrens whines and tantrums but how would they know that they prefer Pizza, french fries, fried chicken and ice cream if one didn't feed them enough of that food to develop a preference?
