Britney Spears‘ family is understandably “terrified” following the news of her hospitalization, a family insider tells People.
“Everyone has been worried for some time,” s/he says. “Her world has been crumbling around her and this is another call for help. Her parents are just devastated. Nobody knows if they can take much more, but they’re trying to be as strong as they can.”
Britney’s father was at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Thursday night, and her older brother Bryan is expected to show up today. Meanwhile, Access Hollywood spoke to Britney’s mother, Lynne, who they say was “extremely distraught,” crying on the phone and asking everyone to “just say prayers.”
That Lynne sure is a woman of faith, isn’t she? That must be why she let them kick off Britney’s career by dressing the 16-year-old in that “holy” Catholic schoolgirl uniform.
My mom would have beaten me into submission before she let me out of the house in anything remotely resembling that ‘ensamble’ when I was 16.

tellin ya ~ Britney certainly was and is very pretty, and yeah, she works the “sex” thing pretty hard. But that’s the problem. She’s trying too hard. And as for the little ones wearing that and less all summer, a little experience tells the rest of us where most of them end up.

Yes, it’s just a shirt tied up to the belly but it is on a 15 year old and dirty old men and not so dirty men love a woman in a school girl outfit. Why? It turns them on sexually. Yeah, it sells records but I am sorry if it were my daughter, I would rather not subject her to that. That was just the brink, so she let her do all the other crap she did and now look at her.

Pak31, news flash, dirty old men look at all young girls in that way. Girls need to be educated about the woes of the world but to force them to be so uptight about their bodies that they can’t even wear a bathing suit at the beach cuz it shows skin? I think that will cause problems too. Britney’s tummy out in that video was just sexy enough for a 16 yr. old.

This young woman is obviously having the
down-swing of a manic episode. I really
feel for her, her children and her
family.
Suicide is a symptom of an illness.
It is like a diabetic dying from
insulin shock. And our society needs
to realize that comments like this”recommend
suicide” only feed the stigma of mental illness.
I don’t condone how she is living her life.
But would you be so upset if she were not
rich and famous and just another 20 something
who is in need of help?
I hope that now that she has hit bottom - she

Her career will never be what it was, even if she does get her act together. Generally speaking, when faced with the threat of having your children taken away, most women would go to the ends of the earth to keep them. She blew off court dates and went to Starbucks. It’s hard to muster compassion for her, it just feels like everything she does is for attention.
