After two whole weeks of fake wedded bliss (the two had a “spiritual ceremony,” but never legally tied the knot), Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds have split, reports Access Hollywood.
In response to hearing the sad news, Mel B. said, “BWAA-HAA-HAA!”
To help distract himself from the split, Eddie has resumed his charity work, including his complimentary taxi service for West Hollywood transvestites in need of “a ride.”

He’s such a dipshit these days. Left his wife and five children to hook up with Mel B, with whom the relationship was serious enough that they got each others’ names tatooed on their bodies and made a baby. Mel goes back to the UK for a while, suddenly Eddie’s hooking up with Tracey and saying he has no idea who the father of Mel’s baby is and won’t know until it comes out and they do a paternity test. When it does and they do and he IS shown to be the father, he takes the news like a punch in the face and refuses to meet his child, meanwhile he’s busy getting engaged to Tracey Edmonds and now he “married” her in a fake wedding and they’re breaking up.
What a LOSER.

Mel B was stupid for hooking up with him in the first place- she meets him, hooks up with him, has his kid- and gets dumped all within a year- yah that sounds like “true- love” to me. They probably had a one- night stand, and she got pregnant. And to not “ruin” her image, she made like they were together and PLANNED it all along. Putting all the blame on Eddie and making him out to look like the “bad guy” for denying her kid. BS if you ask me. Why in the H-E-L-L would Eddie “plan” on having another kid? Seems he’s got plenty to take care of financially already.. Eddie won’t end up lonely though- its a shame he’s been such an ass- I am by no means defending him for not standing up and doing the right thing. But there is always the possibility that Mel B planned this- and wanted to get pregnant. He left his other wife with whom he had 5 kids,.. what made her think they were gonna make it- like he would stick around if she got pregnant? I don’t think so.. but as long as Eddie has lots of $$$ I don’t think these un-intelligent/ money grabbing chicks like Tracey and Mel B will ever stop flocking to the guy. WHEN, the money runs out however, that’s when he’ll be alone. (No woman in their right mind would get pregnant ON PURPOSE with a guy who’s got no $$ to help them out..)
I’d be a tad leery of a guy who leaves his wife and 5 kids, knocks up another woman and denies that it’s his until a DNA test proves him wrong. I believe Tracey dodged a bullet by not going through with the real wedding.

Dino, when I said “intelligent” I certainly wasn’t referring to Mel B. (although she doesn’t seem altogether stupid to me. Let us not forget that she made a fine living with no discernable talent whatsoever), but Tracey Edmonds. TRACEY was with him even though he denied being the father of Mel B’s baby.
Perhaps Eddie never intended to father a child by Mel B., but if that was the case, he should have worn a condom. And before you drag out the tired old excuse that millions of men use — “She told me she was on something” - please remember that it’s everyone’s responsibility to make sure that unintended pregnancies don’t occur. Eddie’s certainly been around long enough to know that.
But it doesn’t matter whether the child was conceived accidentally or not. He refused to meet the child because Mel B. was old p***y and he didn’t want that intefering with the new p***y, namely Tracy. If he didn’t want his baby’s mama to be a skank, then he shouldn’t have slept with one.
And as for being, unintelligent, Tracey Edmonds is anything BUT. She’s a very clever woman and, even though she was married to Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, she is a producer of motion pictures and television shows in her own right. She may not have as much money as Eddie, but I’d hardly classify her as “money grubbing”.
We may disagree on a lot of the fine points, but I think that we both know that Eddie is an ass. I’m not sure why he left his wife, Nicole, but the way he acted with Mel B. (skank or no) showed his true colors. He’s selfish, spoiled and unable to see past the end of his own dick.

Tracey was nothing more than a video ho when she met Babyface on the set of one of his videos. She made her money on the back of Face and that is all there is to it. Eddie Murphy is a bigger fish which would do wonders for her career. I think more credit should go to her technical skills - how many women Black women hook up with 2 multi-millionaires in one lifetime? I want to take Tracey’s class - I’m cute too!
January 17th, 2008 at 2:49 pmI don’t totally disagree with you, Adrienne. There are of course, two sides to every story. By no means was I defending Eddie’s behavior or trying to justify his actions. Quite honestly, I think there are two different types of “intelligence” we are talking about here. I’m not saying that these women are “un-intelligent” completely, but certainly when it comes to their choices in a life partner (or possibly a one- night stand, whichever applies to either of the two). Of course, a woman can have an advantageous career- she can have all the money, all the power, all the respect and recognition she deserves in the workplace, but she can still make un-intelligent decisions when it comes to her love life. And when I say un-intelligent, I mean having or lacking a display of intelligence.
And yes- male or female everybody goes through a time- when they fall in love (for instance the big one that sticks out in my mind is falling in love for the first time), and they lose part of their intelligence (as often too many times people are blinded/ distracted by money, looks, *alcohol (its a sad excuse, that is much over- used), emotions, fill in the blank__). And as a result, end up making poor and un-intelligent decisions, such as has been the case for both Tracey and Mel B, in hooking up with and pursuing any type of relationship with Eddie Murphy WHATSOEVER. And so far, the last two relationships he has engaged in have left us baffled enough to discuss them in the first place.
And again, I’m not defending this guy. And although, Eddie Murphy IS the common denominator in each of these situations (Tracey, Mel B), I can’t help but feel frustrated at trying to understand the type of woman that looks at a man like that and says “that’s the guy”… Especially in Tracey’s case for her to be ignorant enough to not acknowledge that he denied Mel B’s kid who turned out to be HIS, and that he left his wife with five kids as well. To lack the ability to use any type of logic to access his past relationships, and not understand that there is a HUGE possibility that this guy’s a major asshole and has some “issues” that he needs to work out before he gets serious with another woman, or rather that he lacks respect for women in general shows a huge sign of ignorance on her part.
For me at least, I don’t believe people can just *change for anyone. Change starts from within. And clearly, he’s made no apologies for anything he’s said up until this point or done- he was perfectly fine with saying on numerous occasions “we don’t know who the father of that baby is until it comes out”, he was fine with putting Mel B “in her place”, and denying what would turn out to be his own kid. And EVEN AFTER the fact, made NO APOLOGIES or attempts to correct his false statements or go on record saying the kid was his, and give Mel B the credit and respect she deserved. The man has such a blatant disregard for women in general, its hard to fathom why anyone, let alone Tracey would consider engaging in a relationship with him. After- all, call me “old- fashioned”, but in calling Mel B a whore, he called his kid a bastard.
All in all, he’s a major asshole, there’s no denying it. And yes, Eddie Murphy has been around long enough- I’m sure he has grasped the concept of birth control. But then again- 5 kids with the first wife, and 1 with Mel B- maybe he hasn’t? (I know, horrible joke). But to go as far as to say that if he didn’t want a kid he should have worn a condom- we are all educated enough to know that no form of birth control is 100% effective.. except for the extremely engaging and effective method known as “abstinence”.
But we don’t know the details of their relationship, and although he was wrong for denying the kid when he KNEW himself that it WAS his, I tend to believe that ANOTHER kid was the last thing he wanted, to add to the 5 he already has with his previous wife. Another kid, to have to pay child support for. Situations arise, and particularly if that was an issue that they hadn’t discussed prior to it happening ie “If I got pregnant would you..” then that poses some problems, particularly of what to do. And for two people that were according to Mel B herself, in a “serious” relationship and that they “planned it”- seems to me, that they couldn’t have been more divided on the issue. Forget about admitting the kid was his- Eddie didn’t even want to admit he had sex with her, or that they had even dated etc. I’m not putting the blame on Mel B- it takes two to make a baby. At least that much I do recall from my highly- informative sex education back in middle school.
As for your comment regarding unintended pregnancies, they do occur, however- look at America’s youth for example- although the consequences of their actions produce a definite result- many young, un-wed teenage girls I would imagine DO get pregnant, UNINTENTIONALLY (as many of them have sex without the INTENTION of getting pregnant, they have sex for the simple and immediate gratification the action produces, much like their male counterparts).
On the other hand, is there such a thing as being an intelligent person but having a lapse in judgment? Even if that so- called “lapse in judgment” produces a child that the father has no intention of being there for? It just seems like a bit of a contradiction to me, to call a woman like Mel B or Tracey intelligent- when they are well aware of who this man is, how he acts etc., and yet they are still interested in having a relationship with him anyway. As it is no secret he’s got 5 kids, or that he fathered Mel B’s child. If Tracey is by all means as successful as you claim and as financially- independent as you claim and by no means was *distracted with Eddie’s financial situation at all, I will retract my statement about the “money- grabbing”. But calling someone intelligent after they make un-intelligent decisions seems to be a bit of a contradiction to me. Can an intelligent person make un-intelligent choices? Your choices are a reflection of yourself, and if you make stupid choices, then__. Regardless, everybody makes a few mistakes and bad choices now and then, as long as you learn from them that is the important part, but it just seems as of recently, that Eddie Murphy is a bad mistake wayyy too many women are making. And I think at the very least, that’s something we both can agree on.

He had Nicole pregnant with their first child Bria at the same time he had another Californian woman pregnant with Eddie Murphy Jr. There is an 8th possible child that was born before these two. He always said he wanted 10 kids…at least now we can say that at the rate he’s going that goal will become a reality.

Just keep in mind that people sometimes fall for a person for reasons that are not clear to others. While it seems like an “unintelligent” choice to an outsider, there often is a very real and logical reason that the person was drawn to the other. Even if it turns out to be a hideous match. No one can judge how another’s heart works.

I mean, could you accept it if the person you are with has a tattoo with the name of another person on it…their ex in fact??? No…the only right thing to do is alter the tattoo or get it lasered off. Well, this is the same kind of situation. You don’t start a new marriage and say to everyone– “Yeah, we got married but I’m keeping the name of my ex.” It is not like this is a business decision as Murphy is more famous than Babyface. So if you are Murphy, you have to ask yourself, is she still in love with her ex…Babyface, I mean–and the answer would have to be yes, hence the reason this marriage to be, is over.
Murphy needs to calm down and try to get over his ex wife as it appears he is going for rebound romances right now with women who have other motives.
Yeah, the Murph needs to take some time away from the dating scene and find someone who really loves him for him, not for his name…his money, the press they can get out of it, or to make an ex jealous, ala Babyface.
