Welcome to the premiere of CandyKirby.com!
No red carpet, free hors d’oeuvres or Nancy O’Dell covering the event, unfortunately, but the site will (hopefully) offer a few laughs — as well as a creative respite for me, as I also write for my celebrity satire blog, Circus Hour (formerly Holy Candy). As deep and provocative as celebrity news may be, even I need a break from Angelina’s baby bump updates and Paris’ daily nuggets of wisdom from time to time.
On this site, I plan to write a weekly humor column about everything from bizarre news to life in Los Angeles (which often go hand-in-hand), as well as daily tidbits about observations and current events.
I also encourage you to e-mail any interesting or wacky news stories to me at Candy@CandyKirby.com. The more interactive the site is, the better you make me look. Just like I hate to drink alone (but I will), I hate to blog alone (but I will… with my margarita).

Yeah baby! I’ve been waiting for you to update this site. What took so long? I really miss Holy Candy and your sense of humor on there (sorry but Circus Hour just isn’t the same) but this site promises to be just as funny. Can’t wait to see what you do with it. Good luck with this new site, I’ll be checking it out!
