In what may very possibly be a Sign of the Apocalypse, the President of the United States appeared on the Howie Mandel-hosted game show “Deal or No Deal” last night. And, hey, why not? It’s not like he has more important responsibilities on his agenda right now.
President Bush pre-recorded a message in support of an Iraq War veteran who was a contestant on the show:
“I’m thrilled to be on ‘Deal or No Deal’ with you tonight. Come to think of it, I’m thrilled to be anywhere with high ratings these days. Howie, I don’t know if you’re free to come to come to Washington anytime soon, but I have to reach an agreement with Congress on the federal budget. How’d you like to host a $3 trillion ‘Deal or No Deal’?”
Ha, haaaa! Even funnier: The president’s cameo saddled the television show with its lowest ratings ever.
Well, at least he knew better than to appear on “Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?”
