Hey, Jennifer Lopez! You’ve already conquered the entertainment and fashion worlds, so what’s the next big step in your career?!
Um, a reality show for The Learning Channel. Woo-hoo.
Following in the esteemed footsteps of Snoop Dogg and Scott Baio, J.Lo will have cameras follow her and hubby Marc Anthony, as she launches a new fragrance and juggles her responsibilities as a first-time mother.
“I’m looking forward to sharing this exciting journey together,” Jennifer said.
Well, that, and an easy paycheck.
The channel’s president, Angela Shapiro-Mathes, said:
“Jennifer is unbelievably passionate about life and will be an incredible role model for our audience. I’m thrilled to be partnering with her on a series that will take our audience into a fascinating world. It’s a fun, emotional journey that will be inspirational and yet very relatable to today’s women.”
Relatable.
Oh yeah, I’m sure Jennifer is sitting at her IKEA desk right now wearing sweats and five-year-old glasses that are so scratched she can see better withOUT them, nervously wondering when her desk’s other particle-board drawer is going to break and fall on her foot again and trying not to look at her three-month old pedicure — just like ME! I can’t wait to watch the show (and you know I will) to see how we lead such parallel lives!
As you’ve likely guessed, I haven’t had my morning latte yet. Morning Candy is NOT a pleasant person, for sure.

My money says “morning Candy” is WAY more pleasant than the “real” J.LO!
April 24th, 2008 at 9:11 amAunt J can relate to J-Lo. She ALWAYS wears insect eyelashes and more makeup than a drag queen!
April 24th, 2008 at 10:14 amshe’s ‘unbelievably passionate about life’? wtf does that mean?! dances around the house constantly yodeling showtunes in spanish?
maybe the “learning channel” is trying to teach us the warning signs of mind boggling narcissism.
April 24th, 2008 at 10:44 amIf it’s called “Jenny from the Block” I’m going to barf.
April 24th, 2008 at 12:37 pmBut I would watch if she did go around yodeling showtunes in Spanish.
