E! reports that Hilary Duff has gotten an offer to star in the upcoming Beverly Hills 90210 remake. According to sources, Hilary’s potential character is that of Annie Mills, a Beverly Hills High student who is “into theater acting and yearns to fit in with the alternative crowd.” She also “leans a lot on her adopted brother, Dixon. ”
In other words, Brenda Walsh 2.0.
Right now, you’re probably thinking the residue on the bottom of your coffee cup is more interesting than this “news” tidbit, but here’s the kicker: I called this casting back in September 2007, before there even were plans for a 90210 remake. Yes, just because I had nothing better to do than sit around musing about who I would cast in the show today — the kind of important responsibilities I tackle in this job.
