And I’m not making this up…
Brady Arneson!
Yup, Hockey Moms magazine, a Minnesota publication that’s distributed at — you guessed it — hockey arenas, named three-year-old Brady’s mullet the best (of the worst).
Mullets are apparently a proud family tradition for the Arnesons — Brady’s older brother Blake won the same award in 2005. Their father, Scott, also had a mullet as a child.
Passing on The Mullet through the generations. Wow. I’m glad all my mom gave me were crooked bangs.
When asked what he was going to do with his prize money, Brady replied, “Years and years of therapy.”

May 1st, 2008 at 6:05 amOff Topic but …Candy!! I’m so glad you and the artist whatever her name is … parted ways .. I wasn’t getting enough CANDY!! Besides without her ego on board .. you’ll have much more bandwith!!
May 1st, 2008 at 8:31 amxoxox
Hey Candy: That kid may have a terrible, tragic mullet, but he’s wearing a North Dakota “Fighting Sioux” jersey. All is forgiven, child, all is forgiven!
May 1st, 2008 at 8:57 amthat’s child abuse.
May 1st, 2008 at 10:23 amB#tchy, do you mean “bandwidth”?
May 1st, 2008 at 10:54 amCrooked bangs, yes!! You and me both Candy.
May 1st, 2008 at 11:58 amThat is a very cute little boy - get rid of the mullet and he will be adorable
May 1st, 2008 at 1:18 pmIt’s hard to criticize a kid who loves hockey.
Go Penguins!
May 1st, 2008 at 3:24 pmI did mean BANDWIDTH thanks so much for clearing up my typo, Doc. Can’t live without that “D” now can we.
May 1st, 2008 at 4:11 pmIndian, please! stop I’ll … er whoops, I was going to say pee my pants. That is just classic.
May 1st, 2008 at 4:36 pmI agree with B*tchy. Not about the artist’s ego part but I did miss my Candy. Your other site was lacking your personality or something. Good to have you and your funny writing back!!!!!

May 1st, 2008 at 4:56 pmI don’t think there’s any need to trash 14… her ego has never been an issue.
May 1st, 2008 at 5:48 pmThat’s ok JennF .. You don’t have to agree with me. I read 14’s Bio on Circus Hour and was completely put off by it. What’s that old saying about an ounce of pretention and a pound of manure? I’m entitled to my opinion, yes? For Chrissake .. it’s GOSSIP! Lighten up!
May 1st, 2008 at 6:15 pmHee hee hee hee hhee-huckle!
May 1st, 2008 at 6:43 pmOh! *gasp*
thanks Brit Bit-
the idea of the queen peeing her pants just made me giggle so.
Whew! OK, now that I’ve regained what passes for my composure:
Bitchy,
May 1st, 2008 at 6:59 pm14 isn’t pretentious, I took her bio to be slightly toungue in cheek, as those bios are kind of silly to begin with.
If you look at her work, you’ll see that she is one of the most genuine people around, as well as the most supertalented.
However, you are entitled to your opinion and that’s what makes this fun! Rock on with your badass self!
Vern, I thank you for your generosity.
May 1st, 2008 at 7:03 pmB*tchy, like Vern I read 14’s bio as being tongue in cheek. I’ve been following both Candy’s site and 14’s for about 18 months now, plus the ill-fated joint venture. I’ve never seen any indication of ego from either of them, quite the opposite, which is amazing as they are both so talented.
May 1st, 2008 at 9:45 pmYes, B*tchy, of course you’re entitled to your opinion. I wouldn’t suggest anything else of anyone.
I know 14 outside of the blogs, and she’s one of the most sweet, unassuming, generous, and kind individuals you could hope to meet. Her bio was VERY tongue in cheek, and meant to be fun to read.
May 2nd, 2008 at 11:43 amI’m sorry, now that I went back and read the artist’s bio I have to agree with B*tchy. Saying things like “Scoffing at consensus reality, the eradication of mediocrity, doing everything in my power to malign the evil wal*mart, embedding myself into the digits of Pi” does come off as pretentious even if she’s really not. But it doesn’t matter now. I love this site and all the funny readers!!! So much more fun and smart than Perez or any of those other stupid sites.

May 2nd, 2008 at 12:06 pmJenn F. - case closed!
P.S. I just love it when people hop up on their my little pony and start going on about “I’m entitled to my opinion …” in reply; it’s such a stupid response as it states an obvious right that is enshrined in the US Constitution.
May 2nd, 2008 at 2:10 pmHey British Bitch .. it’s worth mentioning OPINIONS when someone states as a fact that so and so isn’t such and such .. It’s only MY OPINION … it’s fine to debate my opinion .. (like a few others did)but to refer to my opinion as ‘trashing’ is just silly.
