Also honored in Time’s annual list of 100 “most influential global figures” are New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, media owner Rupert Murdoch, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, presidential hopefuls Sens. John McCain, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, and, um, Mariah Carey.
Somewhere, Spencer is studying the list for the 1000th time, wondering how the heck he missed Heidi’s name. “I KNOW she’s on here…”
FOB (Friend of Brangelina) George Clooney even wrote a lovely article for Time praising his charitable friends, who were ranked #22. (Did nominees have to submit recommendation letters or something? That would certainly explain why MY application was overlooked!) Highlights of Clooney’s Brangelina recommendation letter include:
- They brought help to Pakistan after a catastrophic earthquake killed tens of thousands of people and left millions homeless;
- They have tended to the poor and sick in Africa;
- They’ve raised global awareness—and contributed $1 million of their own money—for the victims of atrocities in Darfur;
- Brad established a project to finance and build 150 new homes in hurricane-stricken New Orleans.
That’s all well and good. But, sadly, George forgot to mention Brad’s most important societal contribution yet:
He’s helping bring leisure suits back, baby!

Why would you laugh if Angelina dumped Brad. She’s not likely to dump him. He’s more likely to dump her. She would want to save face more than he would.
