Woo-hoo! There are going to be lots o’ parties in my ‘hood of West Hollywood tonight…
The California Supreme Court ruled today that same-sex couples should be permitted to marry, rejecting state marriage laws as discriminatory.
Well, duh.
Of course, the court’s 4-3 ruling is unlikely to end the debate. A group — known in some circles as “Those Fu*king Ignorant Idiots” — has circulated petitions for a November ballot initiative that would amend the state Constitution to block same-sex marriage. The Legislature has twice passed bills to authorize gay marriage; however, our esteemed governator, Arnold Schwarzenegger, vetoed both.
Until then… I raise a glass in celebration of equality. And special best wishes to Ann Coulter, who’s finally able to marry another man!

May 15th, 2008 at 7:32 pmAnd RIGHT ON! About Anne Coulter!
I guess I should pack up all my shit and move to California. I wonder how motherfucking long this will last before some dickwad comes in and tried to fuck it up.
I say it will take 200 years before the other states in the Union follow suit.
I would not wish Ann Coulter on any man, woman, child, dog, cat, potted plant, aomeba or microbe - are they the same thing?
May 15th, 2008 at 8:41 pmNo, DK, Men, women, (children) and dogs and cats, are not the same as house plants, amoebas, and microbes. You are correct. And, Anne Coulter is a bitch on wheels who is probably a man. Yuck!
May 15th, 2008 at 11:22 pmNo doctor, I was talking about amoebas and microbes.
May 16th, 2008 at 9:39 pmAmoebas are single celled protozoans without rigid cell walls. They move around by forming pseudopds. Microbes is an old term for bacteria and fungi, and includes amoebas. Bacteria are single celled microorganisms with rigid cell walls.
