He's more confused than a Jew in Mumbai trying to buy a menorah. (Although, interestingly enough, Jews do seem to exist in India.)

CRB: which insight brings me back to one of my favourite topics: CHYNA"S MASSIVE PENIS-LIKE CLITORIS.

I have a couple of male-female TG acquaintances and have no problem with TG folk, after talking to them and reading up a bit I realised it was silly to try and put people into boxes labelled "male" and "female" purely based on genitals without taking other factors like hormones and chromosomes into account. That said the pregnant man is a worry to me: I can't go up to male anti-abortion protesters any more and tell them that I'll be glad to discuss reproductive rights with the first pregnant man I meet. Poo.

I saw him/her on Oprah the other day, although the show is a bit old (hey, I'm sick, I'm allowed to watch Oprah).

And he said he still has a vagina, but the male hormones just made his clitoris bigger :|

Don't know if he has a 'gina, but he defininely kept his uterus when he transitioned.

Also don't know quite how to react to this, because it does challenge our attitudes about sex, gender and etc.

Here's a thoughtful article:

http://www.indyweek.com/gyrobase/Content?oid=oid%3A257157

If you're curious about this topic, science fiction novels have broken a lot of ground dealing with this trope (see works by Octavia Butler, Joanna Russ, and Ursula LeGuin, for examples).

Hey, dammit, I'm a librarian, it's my job to share information.

Umm, I think someone is confused. And a real attention seeker. I'm OK with the transgender part, but going back and trying to be female reeks of confusion. And he will be lucky if he has eough female hormones to complete that pregnancy.
P.S. Let's start a fund now to pay for the child's therapy.
