May be the end of an American “icon,” but this is one export I’m not particularly sad to see leave. Is there any way Annheuser-Bush can throw scrapple and Dr. Phil into the deal, too?

July 14th, 2008 at 1:38 pmi live in williamsburg, va…home of busch brewery. up until this hostile takoever, busch also owned busch gardens amusement park (for 17 years voted the most beautiful park in america - and it certainly is), water country usa and kingsmill resort (the resort in my neighborhood). so now with the sale of busch to inbev, all of these “ancillary” holdings of busch are left in a lurch since inbev only wants the beverage and brewery ownership. it is a shame and we are all saddened about this takeover. not to mention all of the numerous people in this area that may lose their jobs now due to this takeover.

i know the beer maybe wasn’t the best…but i for one am certainly saddened by this hostile takeover.
