It’s time for Ellen DeGeneres to break out the traditional bridal pantsuit and formal sneakers — because she and longtime girlfriend Portia de Rossi are getting hitched this weekend.
I’m assuming my invitation got lost in the mail. *AHEM*
Ell-and-Po, as close friends such as myself call them, are planning a small, intimate ceremony with only a few close friends and family. Which may explain why I was kicked off the list.
Now I know how Iggy feels.
Ellen announced their plans to marry back in May, when the California Supreme Court finally ruled that same sex couple’s have the “right to marry.”
“It’s something that we’ve wanted to do and we want it to be legal and we are very, very excited,” Ellen gushed.
Of the preparations, Ellen joked, “Planning a wedding is very stressful. It’s crazy. My gardener is now invited.”
Well, they SHOULD be kind to the person who trims their bushes.
